COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - January 6, 2009 - Elk Point Events, a division of Elk Point Enterprises, Inc. will begin hosting events at our beautiful facility beginning in May 2009. Elk Point Events is located on Potlatch Hill overlooking majestic Lake Coeur d'Alene, Lake Fernan, Tubbs Hill and one of the areas signature golf courses.

Despite the fact that Coeur d'Alene is a tourist town, there is a severe lack of meeting and event space. One afternoon while attending a Coeur d'Alene Kiwanis meeting, it was brought up that Coeur d'Alene would have difficulty hosting the National Kiwanis Convention because there was not adequate meeting space available to support potential attendees from across the country. This dilemma, in addition to hosting a friends wedding at our facility last summer for 135 people, led the Principals of Elk Point Enterprises to develop the Events division concept.

Elk Point Events provides event hosting facilities and services to the greater Coeur d'Alene community in a rural setting just minutes from town. Some of the events that Elk Point Events can host at our facility include, but are not limited to, Weddings, Business Meetings, Reunions, Business Functions, Parties, Religious Events/Retreats, Team Building, Training, and Fundraisers. The facility at Elk Point can support almost any type of event and configuration up to 175 people.

A Courtyard with a raised arbor is being added, as well as an open-air Pavilion that can be enclosed during inclement weather. All construction is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2009. An open house will be scheduled this spring to showcase the facility.
