COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - June 8, 2009 - Elk Point Events, a division of Elk Point Enterprises, Inc. will be appearing before the Kootenai County Hearing Examiner on Thursday, June 18th at 6pm regarding a Conditional Use Permit for their Event facility located at 4176 E. Potlatch Hill Road in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The project team representing Elk Point Events has been diligently working for several months with members of Kootenai County Building and Planning, Panhandle Health District, East Side Highway District, the City of Coeur d'Alene Planning Department and Kootenai Fire and Rescue to meet all requirements set forth by these agencies to ensure the compliance of this initiative. The Elk Point Events project team has also met with all neighbors impacted by the use of the Event Facility, including residents in the Armstrong Park sub-division to address their concerns and issues regarding the project.

"It supports the regions tourism and economic initiatives as well as the Chambers "Stand-Up CDA" campaign. Employees for the Events business are local residents from the areas high schools, colleges and trade programs. This is a low-impact project environmentally that preserves the natural landscape that residents and visitors alike associate with Coeur d'Alene."

As the Conditional Use Hearing approaches, the project team from Elk Point Events continues to welcome input from the community. "Communication between the community and our organization is an integral part of this project" said Mr. Lyles. "There are surely items we have overlooked, or there are more productive ways to go about addressing issues that we have already identified. Members of our Board of Directors and several of the Corporation's employees have participated in community service organizations for several years and see this project as another way to give back to this beautiful community we call home."
